Our experience of the living loving God shapes and fashions and influences our life in so many wonderful ways that it is a tragic shame to miss out on what He has to offer and give.
In Acts Chapter 18 at verse 24, we meet a man called Apollos, and what a man he is. He is a Jew who had lived in Egypt. He was eloquent and could preach. He knew his Old Testament and could put it across enthusiastically. He knew something about Jesus, but he knows only about the baptism of John the Baptist.

“What was the apostles’ teaching?” There’s a good question. Thanks for asking.
If the Church of Jesus Christ held to the apostles’ teaching then we’d better know exactly what was taught, and stick to that without wavering or compromise.
These believers could not live on one wonderful experience. Neither can we.
An experience of the living Jesus, and that anointing of the Holy Spirit is essential - but that is only the beginning. A solid foundation, having been laid, has to be built upon.
