If you ever sent a question through a website and got an email saying that your message was received and you would get a response soon, you got an autoresponder. If you sent someone an email and received a message that they were on vacation and would respond when they came back, you were automatically answered by an autoresponder. However, you can also make lucrative autoresponders.

Here are 5 steps to make them work for you.

1. Save Time
If someone sends for information on a product via the web, by all means send it, but send it by autoresponder. This will save valuable time.

2. Send FAQ Pages
Another time saver to make lucrative autorepsonders is the FAQ page–when someone sends a question, save your self reading and answering things that can be done automatically.

3. Send Additional Information
When someone asks about the large red thingie thing, send information about your other thingie things. You can also send discount information about other products they may not have asked for. You will never know what they might respond to.

4. Freebies
You can also send out freebies or special offers. If you have offered a free ebook to anyone who buys a thingie thing this week, make it an autoresponder duty to email it to the address to which you send their receipt.

5. Send Newsletters
If someone has sent you an email, return it but also send them periodic newsletters. Offer them the option of easy unsubscribing, but many of them will keep the information coming.
