I want to share with you the smart way to profit with eBay. You’ll notice I said “with” and not “on” eBay. The reason is that you don’t actually have to use it to sell things. There is a huge potential of clients available that you can use with your side businesses that have absolutely nothing to do with eBay. I hope to explain this too you.

The most important point you have to understand is that eBay is a goldmine, not because it is like an online garage sale, but because it has a huge base of people on there that are just looking to buy something. The best type of customer is someone that wants to buy what you have and they have a credit card ready for you.

I’m not telling you to abuse the system at eBay. Always pay attention to the rules and terms of service. Let’s say you own a business where you sell fishing equipment. You can put that up on eBay and make a great profit, but that wouldn’t be using all that you can get out of it.

The first thing you can do that is extra, is build a client list. You can sell off cheap fishing books, lures and other things that are inexpensive. This way you get a huge amount of sales. You’re not doing this for the money, you’re doing this to build a client list. You’ll get a huge list of people that you know are interested in fishing. You’ll have their email and address. You can always send off a letter to them in the future saying, “hey I got the new super fixing rod”. This way you can resell to them.

You can also just try driving traffic off your eBay listing right to a webpage you made. This page can have various fishing equipment that you have for sale and you can still collect the persons information as well. This is how you properly profit from eBay.
