Blogging Is Not Right For Every Business - Oh Really Now?

Not long ago I was reading on the Internet or a top blog was stating that blogging is not right for every type of business. He felt blogging would be wrong for some types of businesses but did not elaborate on which types of businesses those might be. This line of thought was intriguing to me and previously I might have agreed with him, but as a study blogging and its ability to reach consumers on a personal level, I think I might have to disagree. Why you ask?

First, I would like to point out that I cannot think of a single type of business that blogging couldn’t help. Even if you’re not dealing with the end consumer blogging can help you with industry associations, vendors, stockholders and attracting top talent to your team such as; the very best employees that money can buy. It seems to me that blogging is right for every business and I would like to hear from someone who disagrees to tell me exactly which type of businesses would be hurt by belonging or an industry sub-sector it would not apply to.

Now then, I realize there are some illegal types of businesses out there such as people who sell drugs who would not wish to blog and brag about what they do because the authorities would read their blog and then come and arrest them. Of course, whereas this is not good for the drug seller, it would be good for the overall society so it would be nice if all drug dealers did have a blog and started bragging about all their sales so we could come find them and arrest them.

Of course, this is just my opinion. Perhaps this is something to think about. Can you think of a reason, that a business would be hurt in some way by having a blog or a single industry that could not benefit in some way by blogging? Think about it.
