Online Dating - 2 Signs Your Relationship May Be Serious
Determining whether any relationship is serious is scary and thought provoking. However, trying to determine if your online relationship is serious can cause you and others sleepless nights!
I have been at this fork in the road more than once. You don’t want to turn your back on what “could be” and you don’t want to be blind to “what is”!
How long have you known each other? 1 week? 1 month? 3 months? If your answer to any of those time frames is “yes”? Then I can tell you 100% that it is not serious!
Your emotions may be strong, your desire to be together may be intense, but that does not make a “serious” relationship.
A relationship can not be considered “serious” until both of you have mutually invested the time needed to honestly say you “know” each other. You can not “know” each other within a matter of weeks or months. A serial killer, con artist and pedophile can be on their best behavior for a few months!
The 1st sign your relationship may be serious is, you are both comfortable with stating the fact that you know all there is to know about each other. You know there is nothing that will “surface” that will change your feelings for each other.
The 2nd sign your relationship may be serious is, you “want” each other. Not “need” each other.
I am not meaning the “need” that you have for someone you are extremely attracted to and “need” them in a romantic and or sexual way.
When I say you don’t want your relationship built on “need”, I am referring to needing someone to help with the bills, to help with the children, etc.
The 2 signs the relationship may be serious is that you both know each other and you want, not need to be together.
